Hey Everyone,
How are you?
Even though February is the shortest month of the year, it was quite a busy month for me. I am sorry that I haven’t been posting anything, I just couldn’t find the time to do a blog post. I call it a dry spell where I leave it alone for such a long time that it becomes forgotten, and I want to get back into blogging and make a schedule every week to get one ready for the next week, we’ll see how that goes.
I know that I haven’t done a Stars Hollow Subscription box reveal yet and I said in my previous one that I was going to write one, it is mostly because of the fact that I didn’t want to do it. Don’t get me wrong, I am always excited for the next month’s box it’s just that I am not too keen on doing a blog post EVERY single month for a subscription box, I didn’t want to be pressured every month to do it in case I forget. If you are ever curious as to what goodies are inside the box, check out their Instagram account Stars Hollow Monthly
If you are living in the UK, I hope you enjoyed the blizzard of Storm Emma. Jesus Christ that was a lot of snow. I have to admit there was a lot more snow than I had ever seen before. I was also reading A Darkness Absolute by Kelley Armstrong which is the second book in the Casey Duncan series and strangely enough, it was snowing and it made me feel warm and cosy reading a book with the snow outside. Although going outside in the snow was probably the most challenging thing to do.
One of the things that I have done recently is setting up an account on Depop, Depop is an app where you can sell your items. Much like eBay but in an Instagram format. In my account, I am only selling books that I have no desire to read, one of the goals for my reading is cut down my TBR in half whether if it’s reading or letting go of some books and so far I am doing a really good job and I have cut down soo much. I have about 127 books on my TBR left from the 160 books when I started at the beginning of the year. Most recently I have even sold my paperback edition of A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas which was also signed by the author. Here is my account if you are interested. I decided to sell some books because I didn’t want to always wait for a charity bag to come through the letterbox, at least I can earn back the money that I have spent to purchase them.
Reading wise has been ok, I haven’t been reading a lot but it’s still the beginning of the year. Even though Goodreads is telling me that I am two books behind but I don’t care. I was planning to do a book review for Poldark by Winston Graham and A Darkness Absolute by Kelley Armstrong but I decided not to because with Poldark my review on Goodreads was enough for me and the reason why I haven’t done one for A Darkness Absolute is that it’s because of I always review Armstrong’s books and my opinions are always the same, I love that woman with all my heart.
I hope that is all the things to catch-up on, what have you been doing? What book are you reading now? Let me know.
Hope you are having a lovely day and I will see you next week
