Hey Everyone,

I thought of doing a book tag this week since I have been doing a lot of book reviews. I found this tag a couple of weeks ago and since I don’t think anybody tagged me, I am just going to do it out of sheer fun. It’s also a good opportunity for you to get to know me, I have been blogging for almost 4 years now but I converted to WordPress at the beginning of the year so you have no clue about me. I hope this tag gives you a bit of an idea of who I am.

The tag was originally made by somebody called The Book Jazz on Youtube but it has now been deleted. I found the tag on The Bibliophile Girl’s blog 

Do you have a certain place at home for reading?

I tend to read mostly in my bed, but I do enjoy reading my books on the sofa in the living room whenever I get bored of my bedroom.

Bookmark or random piece of paper

I have quite a bit of a collection of bookmarks but my go to bookmark is an old train ticket.

Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter/a certain amount of pages?

I kind of do both. Sometimes when I am reading a book and I am really enjoying it I would always stop at the end of the chapter. But when it is a book that I have started and unsure of, I would stop whenever I feel like it.

Do you eat or drink whilst reading?

I always have a snack while I am reading a book, my go-to is a bag of popcorn and a bottle of Pepsi Max. But if I am feeling a bit splurgy I would get a tub of Ben and Jerry’s.

Multitasking: Music or TV whilst reading?

I can’t read in silence, I find it too quiet. I have recently gotten into listening to thunderstorm sounds, I found myself focusing a lot more while listening to sound effects, you should check out ZHAANTI. I used to listen to music while reading when I was younger but I decided to stop because every time I listen to the song 369 by Cupid feat B.O.B. I think of Twilight because I listened to the entire soundtrack while reading the book.

One book at a time or several?

I find reading one book at a time can drag for such a long time, I like to read more than one so then I can just jump to another book if I feel like, like Rory Gilmore.

Reading at home or everywhere?

Mostly home but I do tend my time reading books on the bus to work, in the coffee shop and even in the garden.

Read out loud or silently in your head?

Silently in my head mostly, occasionally I would read it out loud it is mostly because I didn’t read it properly, so I would go back and read it again.

Do you read ahead or skip pages?

It’s an old habit of mine to read the last page of the book because most of the time I have no clue what is going on. I think I did it because I wanted the book to have a happy ending. But most of the time I am very confused with the ending and I understand it a bit more when I finish the book.

Breaking the spine or keeping it like new?

I like to keep my books in nice condition, there may be a few dents here and there but it comes from the love and care I give to that book.

Do you annotate in your books?

I am getting into the idea of annotating my books, so far I enjoy tabbing them and underline passages that I really like in pencil but I am not that fearless with a pen just yet, baby steps.
