Hey Everyone,

I know that this little announcement is late, the beginning of the week was a bit busy and I had completely forgotten that it starts at the end of the week.

So I am finally participating in the Tome Topple Readathon, it is hosted by Sam from Thoughts On Tomes both on Youtube and Twitter and it is also co-hosted by Sarah Jane from Booklifesj, Catrina from Little Book Owl, Adriana from Perpetual Pages, Sian from Readers Rambles and a new addition to hosting is (another) Sam from Will Read For Booze.

The simplest way to explain what this readathon is about it is a chance to read any of the larger books that have been sitting on your shelves waiting to be read. The aim is to read any book that is over 500 pages or comes up to it. It starts at midnight on the 16th of November to 11.59 on the 29th November.

There are five challenges for this readathon, I am only doing four out of five because I was a bit late to the party. 

1. Read more than one tome
2. Read a Graphic novel (Still over 500 pages)
3. Read a Tome that is part of a series 
4. Buddy read a tome
5. Read an Adult Novel

I had been watching a lot of reading vlogs and I kept stumbling on the Tome Topple Readathon, I had been aware of it but I hadn’t participated in it yet.

Eurpoean Travel for the Monstrous Gentelewoman by Theodora Goss

This book is for the challenge to read a book in a series, it is the second book of the Athena Club, I read the first book last month and I have been very excited to pick up the second. I have already read a couple of chapters at the beginning of the month but decided to hold on a bit more until the readathon.

The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton

This book is for the challenge to read an adult novel, this book has been on my TBR for a VERY long time and it was long overdue, I have even gotten the book on audible just to help me.

Muse of Nightmares by Laini Taylor

I am going to be buddy reading this book with a lovely woman named Kathrin, she is already ahead of me so I am going to catch up to her and then we will both start at the same page. I am excited to do this, I’ve never done a buddy read before so I am a little nervous and excited. 

I am excited to participate, I am going to do an update next week as to how much progress I have made, I’ll even be counting my pages. So I will see you next week.
