Hey Everyone,
How are you? I hope you enjoyed your Christmas and New Years.
I thought I would start the year with items that I have been loving and have been using a lot in the year 2018. Some of the items are bookish and some are just things that have been very useful in my daily life.

Manon Blackbeak Mug
So I got the mug from a shop on Etsy called CreativeLeighCrafts. She does a lot of bookish themed mugs and after finishing Kingdom of Ash, I got into a purchasing binge on Manon themed items. The mug is shaped as a camping cup with a vinyl Wyvern stuck on the mug, it’s not machine washable and I am not risking on trying it out. I like the shape of it, it’s smaller than my Gilmore girls tall mug but I love both.
Skin Care
I really got into the whole 10 step to Korean skin care but I am mostly doing 8 out of 10, since I don’t own have any essence products and forget to put sun cream on in the morning. I have seen such a difference in my skin and at times I cannot stop touching my face because I love how soft it is.
For the last couple of years, I have stuck with a skin care routine which did nothing for my skin. Somedays I wouldn’t be using my products and some days I would, I kept getting into a habit of not caring about my skin but in the last couple of months, I had a very bad case of pimples and acne which drove me into high gear to take better care of my skin. I use a lot of products from The Body Shop because their products are easy to use and I have seen really good results on my skin.

Products I use:
- Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser
- Vitamin E Facial Wash
- Pixi Rose Tonic
- Innisfree Green Tea Serum
- Vitamin E Eye Roll
- Seaweed Oil-Control Gel Cream (Morning)
- Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream
- Laneige Water Sleeping Mask
- AND a lot of sheet masks

Candles
I get obsessed with candles around this time of year. It just vibes a lovely cosy feeling in my room. I mostly get my candles from an Etsy shop called Flickerink. They are owned by Kate Ormund and she does these amazing bookish themed candles, I think I have purchased at least most of the candles from her shop. They are soy wax candles which are more eco-friendly than standard candles, and I also like how the wax is level in the jar than the standard wax because it will stick to the side and just melts the middle.

I guess there is not much else to say. 2018 came out strong at the beginning of the year, I had a stable job, I had time to read and start this new journey with this blog (although I have done at least three or four redesigns of the site because I cannot be satisfied and also I am terrible at designing). But then later on in the year, lost a job that I really liked. I re-returned to an old job just for the summer and then I manage to find another Post Office job and I love it. I feel that every day I am learning more about how the establishment works and how I have to stop doing it the old way.
I hope you had a lovely Christmas and a great New Year and I will see you soon xx
