It has been a while since I have done a book tag and I did see this on Booktube a couple months ago and I have been tempted to do my own. Just know that these are my personal feelings and that I do not mean harm on the book/author of one your favourites.

You can find the original video who created this brilliant tag at Nicole and her books (Video link here)

1. A popular book EVERYONE loves that you have no interest in reading?

I had to think really hard on this because there are so many popular books. But I think the book/series that I’m not interested it the ACOTAR series. I read the first book when it first came out but then once the second book was released I lost interest.

2. A classic book (or author) you don’t have an interest in reading?

Les Miserables by Victor Hugo, I tried to read this book years ago and it wasn’t the size that intimidated me, if was the story. I know the story well from seeing the musical on the West End but reading the first chapter of the book really bored me. Not only that, my Dad has read the book and constantly complained about how ridiculous it was, he even mentions that the book has a chapter called slang which is about the slang used in the story. My dad’s opinion of the book was the reason why I chose not to pick it up.

3. An author whose books you have no interest in reading?

This one was very difficult for me because I get very picky when it comes to books. And even though I have read books in various genres, it’s quite hard to pick an author for this question.

4. An author you have read a couple of books from & have decided their books are not for you?

Jennifer L. Armentrout.

I have read the Lux series and enjoyed the White Hot Kiss trilogy years ago, I wasn’t as such a big fan of the Lux series because I’m not particularly fond of Science-fiction. And I have been seeing her latest series become super popular and all I want to do is turn around and walk away.

5. A genre you have no interest in OR a genre you tried to get into & couldn’t?

I think horror is a genre I don’t necessarily get drawn too and after reading It by Stephen King, I realised that I wasn’t a fan of it. (NO disregard to Stephen King, I meant the genre)

6. A book you have bought but will never read? (this can be a book you have unhauled/returned to the library unread)

The Summer Garden by Paullina Simons, I loved The Bronze Horseman and I even liked the sequel but it has been such a long time and I still haven’t finished the trilogy. And to be frank, I have lost interest in finishing the final book. The book has been on my TBR shelf for so long and I have no interest in picking it up.

7. A series you have no interest in reading OR a series you started & have dnf’d?

Kurt Wallander series by Henning Mankell. At the beginning of last year, I wanted to try out other crime novelist and I had seen Henning Mankell so many times when I go to the section in a bookshop. I read the first book of the series, Faceless Killers, I quite liked it but I didn’t love it.

Sometimes, it is nice to try something new and realise that it’s not for you.

8. A new release you have no interest in reading?

I’ll be honest with you, I barely look at newest released books. I always focus on my current Tbr.

~

I guess that concludes this book tag, I hope you like this tag and do one for yourself.

Happy Reading xx
