Thoughts
I got into this drama in the middle of March, I had been seeing some of the clips from the first episode and I was intrigued. The whole concept of this drama is a woman who desperatly wants to leave her husband because of his obsessive and abusive actions towards her. The last drama that used the subject of an abusive marriage was in a family drama called Mom (2015-2016) but it was small and it was only in a couple of episodes out of 50.

One of the reasons why I found myself watching this drama was Ryu Soo Young’s performance as Kang In Wook, In Wook is the son of a chaebol family but at a very young age he lost his mother due to his father’s abusive actions. But when In Wook met Yoon Ma Ri, he immediately sees his mother’s face on Yoon Ma Ri and swore that he would keep her forever. Ma Ri went into the relationship blindly, she was this new artist but as soon as she was married to In Wook she was unable to get out, he would physically hit her on the arms because he didn’t want to damage his wife’s face. It had gotten to a point to ask for help, more specifically a plastic surgeon.

Seo Jung Woon is defnitely the White Knight for Ma Ri, after his first meeting her and then seeing the bruises on her arms he wanted to help her as much as he could. But he was also hoping for his wife who has been in a coma for five years to wake up and have a second chance in thier marriage only to lose her. Jung Woon realises his mistake in turning Ma Ri into his deceassed wife but he soon sees the strong differences between the two women even though they now look like the same.

But Mari’s husband is determined to find his wife no matter how the costs and is even going to the lengths of harrassing Seo Jung Woon who In Wook belives is involved Ma Ri.
There was soo much character development from all the characters the most notibally would have to Ryu Soo Young, many commenter’s on videos have praised his acting and I personally agree because he did hold this drama to the very end with his spectacular acting. The song Nightmare by The Vane was the perfect song for the character.
I would highly recommend watching this drama, it was a drama I looked forward to watching every Sunday morning.
I hope you are enjoying your Bank Holiday weekend, or weekend wherever you are. I will see you in another post.
